directing people to the Miniology site.. But I won't bore you with it LOL..
Of course, you *can* watch these online via YouTube, along with newer Miniology episodes there, at iTunes, and Vimeo. Just search for 'starlord mini' to find them on either site!
Archived Feb 11 2007 – This bit of eye-candy should hold you over till the next one comes out! 😉 StarLord Mini Podcast morphs into Miniology. In this (actually, our 20th) vodcast, Rob (Califzeph) gives us slick music-video style views of the REME run to Point Arena. Chris (StarLord) offers glimpses from the MacWorld expo (don’t blink!), then gets into San Francisco MINI’s purple Cooper cabrio. More to come soon in the “Miniology” audio and video podcasts, at the new Miniology.com
After the M&M run (Episode 14) several of the Mini and Miata owners made their way to Huffaker Engineering at Infineon Raceway, to enjoy an exclusive look at Joe’s facility and meet with his staff for great stories of racing history and a sneak peak at one of the leading fabricators of the racing circuit. We saw Joe’s #77 Mini in some of the earlier episodes, so it was a real treat to meet the man behind the scenes and hear him speak candidly about his family’s wonderful racing history. This short podcast has some of that tale edited and posted here for your enjoyment! Sorry some of the edits are a bit rough 🙁
In this episode, we see a clip from the UK’s Northern Minis Moorland and Coastal #2, get a quick peek at East Coast correspondent Rich’s Innocenti Mini, and watch highlights from the San Francisco International Auto Show, where we ran into president George W. Bush (shh, don’t tell anyone it’s really look-alike John Morgan). The show ends with footage of environmentally-friendly Obvio, smart, and others.
n this light-hearted episode, StarLord opens up his Mini Takes The States kit and shows you what MINIUSA sent everyone partaking on the road trip to end all road trips rally! This is followed by quick tips (useful for all runs) how to apply the window cling (ok, that wasn’t hard).
The new “Italian Job” featured electric MINIs. StarLord acquired a pimped-out electric MINI and shows some of its features. Unfortunately, he crashed into both cars with it! Yikes! What will happen next?
This is in 3 parts, slapped together in one big longer episode!
Part 1 beings parking at Crystal Springs reservoir, StarLord awaits the REME crew then heads down to Monterey. We take a quick lap around Laguna Seca, and watch some of the classic Mini practice sessions on Saturday. A short compilation of footage from Monterey Historic races.
Part 2 has tiny formula racing footage where the Laguna Seca track record was broken (Zonta), and a dash more Mini racing footage from that same day.
Part 3 beings the MTTS fun from Monterey to Santa Barbara! Interviews with Fireball Tim, Gary Anderson (formerly of MC2 magazine), Mini Fini, and the MINI-based tech squad MAKE IT WORK. StarLord reflects on how awesome Mini Takes The States is, and you get to see highlights from the first leg, all widdled down to this 10 minute vodcast. Enjoy. For some reason iMovie lost some of my (music) audio tracks!? Yikes! Such as life, there are some moments of awkward silence in this episode.
