Current mood: thirsty
p class=”blogContent”>MMW 2005 in Mt. Diablo, California – put on by MOASF and NorCal MINIs — so much fun, Friday’s concourse was awesome, so many MINIs and Minis too look at, so many ideas for how to mod the performance or customize the interior and exterior, wow!
And though I didn’t buy much, they have lots of big savings from my favourite Mini parts people (in no particular order, really): sracer, mini mania, seven enterprises, heritage garage, minimotors, mini-part, moss, and met some new folks (well, new to me..) webb motorsports, british wiring, apt, mini-madness, wood & pickett, motorswag, so many other cool people.
Saturday, we did the photo rallye, though Renee doesn’t do well with the twisties it was still lots of fun going up Mt.Diablo again. The day was a bit hazy, but otherwise clear enough to enjoy the view from the top, and not too hot, so we could cruise up and down the mountain with the windows rolled down, A/C off.. I don’t know how that would be in the classic ’64 Mini, but I’d guess we’d stop a bit more often so the engine could cool down. Like most folks, we ate lunch at In-N-Out burger, one of the first stops in the Rallye. I ended the day with a nice Guinness 🙂
